Moontower Design & Build is looking for an experienced cross-functional Operations Manager to oversee active residential design/construction projects and support the production team.

Moontower Design & Build is looking for an experienced cross-functional Operations Manager to oversee active residential design, and construction project KPIs and support the sales, design, and construction team.

This role is responsible for smooth and timely progress across project life cycles from sales to completion while maintaining strong standards for quality, team performance, and client satisfaction. The Operations Manager will work closely with the CEO, Project Managers, Design team, and Estimator to keep projects moving efficiently from pre-construction through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all active project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and client satisfaction
• Manage team capacity and resources to minimize delays and keep projects moving efficiently
• Meet regularly with Architects, Estimator, and Project Managers to review schedules, budgets, purchase orders, project priorities, and client satisfaction
• Coach, support, and develop team members within a continuous learning culture
• Ensure clients receive consistent updates regarding schedule, budget, quality, and project progress
• Support Architects, and Project Managers with escalated client, issues
• Coordinate new project starts with estimating, design, purchasing, project management, and accounting
•  Verify accuracy of project schedules and workflows in JobTread
• Communicate production capacity, lead times, and project needs across leadership, sales, design, and estimating
• Maintain and improve company wide SOPs, checklists, workflows, and quality-control processes
• Assist with onboarding and hiring team members when needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing residential construction projects, preconstruction phases or production operations
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, customer service, change management, and conflict resolution 
• Experience leading Project Managers, Superintendents, , Architects, Estimators, or Designers
• Strong residential construction and building-science knowledge
• Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners regarding schedules, budgets, expectations, and project challenges
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple active projects and priorities simultaneously
• Professional, fair, and accountable approach to project stakeholder relationships
• Experience with construction management software; JobTread experience is a plus
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and comfort using QuickBooks Online or similar systems
• Familiarity with Austin-area permitting, codes, and ordinances preferred
